KUNST, KULTUR UND KULINARIK

Friendly gossip is available from the tobacconist, culinary delights from the Opocensky delicatessen restaurant and fresh vegetables from the greengrocer directly on St Elisabeth Square. The people here know each other and always have time to exchange a few words.

A full stomach also makes exploring the cultural offerings more fun. With the Belvedere, 21er Haus, Wien Museum, Albertina, Konzerthaus and State Opera, many of the city's central institutions are right on the doorstep. Those who prefer to look up in the air can take a walk in the gardens of Belvedere Palace or explore the nearby Botanical Gardens.

For a fun evening out, we recommend the Freihausviertel, a 15-minute walk away. Whether it's a fine glass of wine in the Burgenland vinotheque Lutzmannsburg or a delicious cocktail in the insider pub Motto: going out is worthwhile here.

Why should we invent things that others are already doing much better? We see our neighbouring businesses as "fellows" - namely the restaurants, cafés and local shops surrounding our grätzlhotel suites, which do a great deal to give the Grätzl its individual soul.
