ART, CULTURE
AND CUISINE
Have a friendly chat at the kiosk, enjoy culinary delights at the specialty grocer Opocensky or buy fresh goods at the greengrocer right at the market on the square. People here know each other and always find time for some small talk.
To experience an even more bazar-like atmosphere you can take a stroll to nearby Naschmarkt, where the various stands sell a number of delights. From organic specialties, seafood, vinegar, handmade soap, to spices from all over the world – there isn’t much you can’t find here. Also, the flea market on Saturday is very popular with Viennese and tourists alike.
For those who prefer being served we recommend the art nouveau Café just around the corner. Alternatively, you can take a small stroll and will find a number of interesting options between Favoritenstraße and Naschmarkt.
With a full stomach you can then enjoy the cultural offers in the neighborhood. Many of the city’s most interesting institutions, such as Belvedere, 21er Haus, Wien Museum, Albertina, Konzerthaus, and the Opera are right on your doorstep.
Those who prefer fresh air can enjoy a walk in the gardens of the Belvedere, visit the nearby botanical garden, or can take a more active approach to sightseeing by joining a training of Vienna City Bootcamp, where you can sweat a little while taking in the sights.
For some fun in the evening we recommend the nearby Freihaus-Grätzl. Whether you prefer a fine glass of wine in the Vinothek Lutzmannsburg or a delicious cocktail at the always popular Motto, here you’ll find something to do and enjoy.
